MCPAKE HAPPY TO RETURN
Coventry City defender James McPake said that he would be very much happy to return to Coventry City in the summer, despite the fact that the club is faced with the prospect of relegation to League One. Coventry City are currently down at the bottom of the Championship and their chances of survival this season looks very slim. Still, James McPake, who is currently on loan at Hibernian, has said that he would be very much relishing the prospect of returning to Coventry City and challenge for a first team place within the squad. Hibernian will be taking on Rangers in front of 45,000 spectators and it is a crucial match for James McPake.
James McPake recently swapped Coventry City for Hibernian, but he says that there has been no regrets over choosing the Scottish club. The 27-year-old has made only a few number of appearances for Coventry City. In fact, he has been used only three times from the start and two times as a substitute. James McPake also hopes that the loan spell at Hibernian will help him persuade Coventry City over his value within the squad. It was recently rumoured that James McPake would be looking to make his move permanent or more from Coventry city permanently in the summer. However, the defender has rejected such rumours.
“I have never asked to leave Coventry, just that I want to play games and I obviously hope to get the games I need now. I have a year left at Coventry but for the next four months I will be a Hibs player. But come the summer I will be back down to Coventry when I hope to be a lot fitter,” James McPake said in a recent interview. Coventry City are six points off safety in the Championship.
